Reservation Policy

  1. In the high season our bookings run from Saturday to Saturday and the minimum booking period is 7 nights. At all other times the minimum booking period is 3 nights.

  2. Persons under the age of 18 may not check into The Bothy unless accompanied by an adult. 

  3. Bookings are accepted on the understanding that the number of guests is limited to those shown on the booking form agreed in advance.

  4. Pets are not permitted at our properties.

  5. Check-in time is usually after 4pm and departure by 10am but we can sometimes be flexible particularly out of high season. Arrival time should be agreed with us a week in advance as we endeavour to welcome all guests in person.

  6. The property will be cleaned and bed linen changed prior to your arrival and on your departure. You are requested to leave the accommodation in a neat and tidy state. If extra cleaning (beyond what would normally be expected) is necessary you will be required to cover the cost.

  7. Rates are in pound sterling and are inclusive of VAT unless otherwise stipulated at the time of booking.

  8. We cannot accept any liability for theft of, loss of, or damage to personal belongings of guests staying in our accommodation.

  9. In accordance with the Smoke Free Regulations 2007, smoking is not permitted within the Bothy. Ash trays are provided in external smoking areas as applicable. If you smoke in the Bothy you will be charged an additional fee, equivalent to 1 nights’ accommodation rate, to cover additional cleaning costs.

  10. You will be charged for any damage or losses caused by you or your guests to any Bothy property or any additional cleaning or repairs required as a result of your actions during your stay.

  11. Complaints should be made to us immediately giving us the opportunity to rectify any problems with the accommodation. Complaints cannot be redressed after departure.

Cancellation Policy

  1. Free cancellation for 48 hours after booking, as long as the guest cancels at least 14 days before check-in (time shown in the confirmation email). After that, guests can cancel up to 7 days before check-in and get a 50% refund of the nightly rate.

  2. We send refunds immediately upon cancellation to the card used for the original payment and they usually show up within 3-5 days, but sometimes it takes as long as 15 days before they reflect on the original payment method. In some countries, such as Brazil and India, it can take up to 2 months for the refund to arrive.
